Expertise needed for wavy hair?

I have wavy/frizzy hair and I'm used to straigtening it all the time because I cant figure out a good way to style my (shoulder length) hair. I'm starting to see the damage its doing to my hair and the last thing I want is even frizzier hair. Does anyone have any style techniques or any advice on what I can do to style my hair and any suggestions of anti-friz products that dont weigh your hair down. Thanks in advance!

do not use any of those spray bullshit friz-eaz stuff.

my friend has wavy/frizzy hair just like you, but her hair is always super straight. their is this treatment you can do on your hair that lets it stay straight for like 6 months. idk exactly where you can get it, but go to a salon, dont try doing it yourself. go to a salon and ask about it. or look it up online. its really good, i can tell because her hair is always really pretty.

Curl a few sections of your hair, and then scrunch it with Garnier curl enhancing products. It will look natural and won't feel crunchy. Have fun!

what you can do is you can either relax it to make it permenatly straight, or mousse helps too to get rid of fizz.. or there are shampoos out there for anti-fizz along with conditioners and 24/7 cremes.... sunsilk hairapy works WONDERS on hair and makes it look SUPER healthy.

The best thing for curly/wavy/frizzy hair is moisture. You need to make sure that you are using a shampoo and conditioner that is moisturizing your hair. Another thing is that you don't need to over wash your hair. That can dry it out causing it to frizz. I have very curly hair and I have found that getting it cut in layers is better because a blunt cut causes the hair to poof out. Also, I use Curls Rock curl amplifier from TIGI . It's a great product and my hair doesn't frizz at all. One more thing is, try not to touch it too much throughout the day, that can cause frizz as well. If you are wanting to straighten it, then use a styling protectant cream when you blow dry it and then use a straightening iron.

I have wavy hair...and feel your pain.

It sounds like you have 2 things going on...wave and frizz. Products to deal with the frizz are likely to weigh down your hair and pull out the wave. I'm guessing you've tried these things already.

The best solution is likely to come from a professional - find someone who knows your hair type well. Probably someone who has your hair type.

My hair is curly, at times frizzy and is shoulder length as well.

I use FrizzEase spray after shampooing. It works very well and does not leave a residue on your hair.

The best way to wear hair like ours is either long layers or all one length. You could probably pull of a short style if it is not too wavy though. Mine is too curly to have it shorter - just poofs out!

Ask your hairdresser next time you go for a trim about different products. And I do suggest a trim every month or so to keep your hair healthy.

Hope this helps!

I also have wavy/frizzy hair and I use John Freida products to tame the frizz and to enhance the wave so that its much smoother, shinier, and very much prettier!

I use the Brilliant Brunette line of shampoo and conditioner, but the stuff that really does the trick is the extras you can get. There are several to choose from, but I use the Frizz-ease line especially the Dream Curls spray which takes most of the frizz out of my hair; it is light, not sticky like hair spray, and you don't have to use very much for it to work either. There is also hair serum and their Secret Weapon which pretty much just keeps the curls/wave from falling apart the rest of the day. They come out with new product all of the time, so keep you eyes open and experiment, I know I do!

After I use the product, I 'scrunch' my hair by grabbing locks of hair several times around my head, from the ends to the root and squeezing (or scrunching it) get the wave to stand out, it works every time and looks great!

(I buy all of these at target, by the way.)

i have the same type of hair i use sunsilk hydra TLC and dry my hair with a COTTON tee shirt to help control frizz and scrunch with a curl defining mousse for hard curls or just scrunch with out any mousse for soft flowy curls and after it dries touch it up a bit with a curling iron
