Willl layers on naturally curly (wavy), thick, hair take off bulk???

I have naturally curly THICK hair. its 20 inches long, i measured, lol! and i am getting my hair cut tomorrow. im thinking about getting 3-4 inches off and getting it thinned and getting long layers. i need to know if that will make it look thinner, or if it will make it look even thicker. also, will thinning sheers make it fuzzy?

Ask for them to razor cut it. It takes makes it look thinner. layers will most likely make it thicker with your type of hair.

Have it layered with the layers on top. I've seen layers done underneath and it makes your hair look fuller even after it's been thinned. Thinning sheers won't make it fuzzy at all.

Putting layers in any kind of hair will add volume. And only let someone use thinning shears on your hair that has experience using them, otherwise you end up looking like your hair has broken off and you have new growth.

dont get it thinned out

i have REALLY thick natureally curly/wavy hair and getting it thinned will make the top near your scalp look poofy

layers are ok as long as u only have a few long layers

no short layers

It might make it look thicker if you keep it curly, but if you are going to get it straightened, that thins it out...layers look good in straightened hair, though...it also depends on what you mean by curly...

No , I have very thick hair that is straight on top wavy in the middle and curly underneath , i went and got my hair layered and thinned out and it has never looked or felt better , i had lots of layers done on the top and middle but not underneath and all of it thinned out ..try using pantine at least for a conditioner if your worried about your hair going fuzzy . good luck
