I have and use the wet to straight and love it. I have used chis before and in comparison, I like the wet to straight better. Always use a heat protector spray or cream before you straighten. Frizz-Ease straightening spray works well and also Total Effects has one in a purple bottle that works really really well and smells good too. Start by using a good shampoo and conditioner. John Frieda's frizz ease straightening line is great to get your style started in the shower, however i have found that by JUST using that my hair does start to lose moisture and shine. I use a deep conditioner or a shine/color enhancing conditioner at least once a week, usually by pantene. Make sure you are doing small sections at a time and put a little frizz-ease or pantene oil on your hair after its straight. If you are still really unhappy with the wet to straight i would suggest maybe borrowing and using a chi before buying one since they are so expensive. This way you can decide what works best for you and your hair since everyone is different!

I personally LOVE my chi! Takes seconds to get hot, and does a GREAT job at straighting dry curl hair! My salonist recommend I buy one, which I did- then use a protective cream (against heat) while your hair is still wet. Wait to dry (or blow dry) then straiten with your chi. WORTH THE MONEY!

Any kind of ceramic straightener is better. Although you shouldn't use a chi on wet hair. But take a shower at night so your hair will be dry in the morning to straighten. A chi straightener keeps your hair straight all day.

im in major love with mine they may not be cheap but they are better!!!!!!!!!!!!!i use mine every day
