well u can wet it and put it a leave in conditioner and scrunch the living day lights out of it with mouse.

maybe it was how you were braiding it. instead of trying to put a tight braid y dont u put a more loose one. that way when u open it out it would be losely wavy not tight and u can see the difference by ur scalp.

there was this thing i sw on E! about how celebrities get the wavy look. after they washed their hair the stylist put it in some kind of knots/buns or something held by hair pins and they went under the dryer and afterwards their hair was wavy and it lasted.

You should go to a hair stylist and ask about it

apply mousse and scrunch, or try this: after you get out of the shower, apply hard hold gel. then blow dry. afterwards apply more gel. then get bobby pins and twist 1/2-1 inch sections of hair around and into a little bun on the side of your head. do this with all of your hair. make sure you twist in the direction that your hair will fall down! do this for the rest of your hair. then blow dry the gel into your hair. remove the bobby pins and and fluff your hair. comb through your hair, and it will be wavy.
