I love the way that the old movie stars hair looked. Im going to be in a pageant singing a song from the 1940s, so i want that "wavy doo" for my performance. I'm thinking of a style like this:http://www.acewigs.com/shop/image_upload... but other suggestions would be great!

As usual, start with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair that has been towel-dried. Apply a liberal amount of your preferred styling product. For best results use a mousse or gel. Your best option is to segment the hair into square sections that are approximately 2 inches by 2 inches. This will give you a reasonably sized base for the pin curl. Use a fine tooth comb to flatten the segment into a ribbon of hair and wind it into a coil against the scalp. You can direct the hair to lie off-base in order to keep the hair lying flat against the scalp.

Use your fingers to keep the hair smooth and flat and once you閳ユ獫e shaped the coil, simply pin the hair against the scalp. Use two pins criss-crossed for stability if needed. Once the first curl is wound, move to the next section. After all the hair is wound into pin curls, wrap the head in a scarf (silk or satin is preferred) in order to keep the hair neat and orderly while you sleep and the hair dries.

if ur hairs that short then take rubber bands and put them n ur hair y its wet n let em' dry n it will do that if ur hair's long Braid it n get a wavy effect then Pin it up

Those are fingerwaves. Believe it or not you can get that look with a curling iron. You take a 3/4" barrel curling iron. Drop the lower 2" of hair and use the curling iron facing forward then back to lock in the wave. You can also use those 3 barrel irons %26lt;-- may be easier.

It can be done as a wet set (with gel) but I wouldnt suggest doing it yourself. Its way too much work and hard if you dont know what you're doing.
