I mean permanently - without having to apply gel all the time. I don't like mousse or hairspray because of the smell and I like to keep my hair clean. Thanks!

Braid it every single night, then just take it down in the morning. No product needed except for maybe a little hairspray. To get more volume, blow dry upside down or brush it with your head upside down, then kind of ruffle it with your hands. Voila.

just flip your head over when your drying your hair. dry it that way. its faster to dry and it volumizes/

An awesome way to get some wave and body in your hair is to twist is and pin it to your head when it's wet. make say 4 twists on both side near the top of your head.

Wash your hair before bed, and when you wake up you'll have lots of wave, with out any product. (you MAY want a touch of wax in the tips to help control the curls)

As far as volume, I know the way you blowdry your hair is a big factor. To get your hair wavy, there are couple of thickening and curling shampoos that you could try (I know BedHead has a few...) and you can always scrunch your hair while it's wet (but that tends to work better and stay longer if you have a gel to hold it with.) Besides a curling iron, mousse, or hairspray, you're only other option is a perm (and if it turns out bad..you're stuck with it..) Good luck and keep trying things!

well when you get out of the shower wrap your hair in a towel until you feel it's mostly dry. Then get your hair and make it into a bun. When you wake up or whatever you'll have nice natural looking waves !!! yeah boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
