i have a round face too and i find my hair looks good all ways. as for the length i would say shoulder length. i don't like my hair too curly or too wavy, but not too straight either. most mornings i do it slightly curly.

Straight will smooth and elongate the face. As for a length I would say longer would look the best but a really cute short cut that still falls on the cheeks not bhind the ears would look cute to.

The best way to do that is to reduce the round areas between your temple and chin. Either straight or curly hair will do that, although I find curly works beter to cover.You might also try bangs to make one side of the face appear slimer to create an overall balance. Cut your hair to end about where your chin is. the ends will curl in on themselves and tend to reduce the rounded parts of your face. Lastly, since no one's face is the same, experiment with different styles to see which suits you. You might not look good with bangs if you have a smaller forehead than others, even if you have a round face. Try different styles to find your match but just remember that the point is to reeuce the sides of your cheeks.

For my taste, I prefer a medium-short bob, a bit longer in front than in back, with a bit of wave and some height at the crown.

I like it off the face, and combed up and outward at the temples, and tucked behind the ears.

Well i wanted to make my hair have that wet, wavy look without using mousse because i heard it stiffens your hair. I tried wetting my hair, braiding it then taking it out. it works but it's to puffy and afro like and doesn't last very long. Can anyone help me out to get my hair in this way? you should never use pantene...just to get that out...ya mousse does stiffen your hair, but gel doesnt..and neither does spray gel, so go to th store and get either herbal essences gel for waves or go to a salon and get curl life spray gel(its nothing like hairspray or mousse)

best bet would be to use a textures found in the same place you buy box relaxer sets.....they work almost the same way but the results are curly hair instead of straight!

Is your hair Relaxed? If so, the braiding thing works out well, aside from the puffiness it seems, so change the products your using. Try using a curl creme. It's has more of a lotion conistency and won't make your hair stiff and 'crispy' but it'll take down some of the puffiness and give you hold.

If your hair HAS NOT been relaxed within the past year or so, you can get a curl reformation where they basically perm your hair with rods. Also known as a Geri-Curl. Now not all geri-curls have to look like Little Richard's hair...lol Use larger rods (probably orange) for the wet and wavy look.

Another option if your hair is not relaxed is to use a flat iron and straighten it all with whichever products you prefer, then spiral wrap it on some rods or curlers and mist with water. Let it dry completely again and finger comb the curls.

one thing you could do is get it layered. or at least that's what i think its called. theres just a way to cut you hair to minimize the volume and not affect the length.

To start, she has a layered cut w/ alot of texture, probably razored. She also has the swoop bang, it is a side parted bang that is cut at an angle.

The style she has her hair curled in is called beach waves. To get that look you need a 1 1/2-2" barrell curling iron. After you wash your hair apply a mouse or gel and than blowdry your hair completely dry.Than take a section across the bottom on your hair line and leave hang, the rest of your hair can be clipped up. Across that bottom section take a 1" section and curl it as you would a spiral curl, hold it a few sec. and than slowly unroll it. Keep doing that all the way across than go up another row and continue until you are completely done. The reason for gel is so you get that piecy look, it holds it together. The clipping w/ a clip is so you don't get lost in the hair. It is easier starting at the bottom and working up. You do not have to curl the entire strand on hair, maybe 1/2 way to get the straight up top look.

I hope I explained myself good enough. If you are having a hard time getting your hair to do this try goin to a salon and have them show you w/ a few strands of hair how it works.

i think her her has more loose curls than waves, so try this:

1. Style your hair the way you normally would. Use a product such as mousse or gel and either air dry or use a diffusing hair dryer on a cool air setting. Second day hair is fine if your roots are not too oily. Before starting, use a heat-protectant gel or spray.

2. Section your hair into lots of even pieces and secure them with non-metal ties or braids.

3. Always begin with the underneath pieces of hair and work your way to the crown or top of your head.

4. Using a large barreled curling iron on low heat, take one section and place the end of your curl near the handle of the iron. Do not open the clip of the iron; simply and loosely wrap the entire section around the outside of the barrel, making sure to overlap the end so it will stay.

5. Hold the hair for up to a minute, then carefully remove it from the iron (more or less as to the thickness of your hair). Since the hair is not clipped to the iron, it may fall off the iron. Just carefully wind it around again and hold.

6. Repeat for every section.

7. Do not comb through. Using your fingers, carefully relax the curls into waves. Toss your hair and spray it lightly with a flexible hold finishing/shining hair spray if needed. (hot curls--Loreal'--works great)

Those are definitely extensions. Try a volumizing mousse at the root of your hair. Smooth out the top with a flatiron or blow out with a round brush. Loosely curl the bottom with a big barrel curling iron, and make sure to curl it in different directions. You'll have to take small sections of your hair and wrap them around the barrel of the iron. Set it with a soft hold hair spray.

I have the same problem. You need to find a really good straightening cream/gel to use on your hair before you use the straightener, putting on extra amounts in the tough spots. I really like Thermasilk straightening gel, it's the only thing I've had work so far. Also, try to dry your hair with a big, boar's hair bristle brush. It helps straighten it while you are blow drying it, it pulls it smoothly. Hope that helps some!

You didn't do anything and it is very bad to straighten your hair for a long time. Your hair type is the problem. Here are some solutions.

-After you have straightened your hair, you should hair spray then blow dry it so the hair will hold longer.

-Get a straightening perm then straighten your hair so the hair type wont frizz during humid weather.

-Use straightening shampoo the night {or blow dry your hair before straightening so you won't ruin the straightener} before you straighten you're hair. Be sure to blow dry it so it won't frizz to much when you sleep.

I would try all of these solutions even in an order

EXAMPLE:

-Night before use Straightening Shampoo and blow dry to protect from frizz.

-Straighten the next morning and be sure to hairspray it then blow dry it for it to hold longer.

If none of these solutions help, even the perm, I would start doing other styles that are easy on your hair type. For example scrunching because your hair is curly.

I need a LITTLE more information than that. It depends on your ethnicity and what you've been doing before, but here's my story:

I get out of the shower after thoroughly washing my hair and either put some straightening serum (Biosilk works wonders, as does Paul Mitchell) and take a round brush and blow dryer and divide it up in sections. I blow dry from the root to the ends.

After your hair looks like a total fro, divide it in sections again, starting at the bottom of your head, take a ceramic flat iron in smaaaaaaalllll sections of hair and flat iron until it's straight.

mines the same way!! I use a straightening shampoo (Herbal Essenses Dangerously Straight) then I use a straightening serum, blowdry (blowdryer facing down not to the side) then tie up all over your hair except a thin layer, straighten it w. a cermanic straightener, then let another layer down, and repeat. I usually end up doing about 5 or 6 layers. Ohh and make sure you leave the straightener on your hair for a few seconds, DON'T use slide the straightener thru it!!

try and get the Chi straightener, it the best one out there, or you could try the Metropolis which is even better than the chi but its extremely expensive, they both get extremely hot and work wonders on any hair type.....Try it you'll be amazed( i own a chi bye the way so that's why i know..)

I have the same issue. All I do is go over it with the straightening iron again a couple of days later and then spray it with a olive oil sheen spray. it's good for another couple of days until I wash it and start all over again.. I got my straightening iron for about 50 buck and it was worth it because I have it at home and don't have to go to the hair salon every week.

it might be, but it could have a lot to do with life events like puberty and pregnancies can cause changes in hair's texture and color. I think your's is damaged you should get a leave in conditioner and put it on right before bed, then wrap your hair up in a bandana and sleep like that, it will help your hair become more healthy (sounds like you heat style it a lot) and get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks!

Definitely grow it out. Wavy hair looks poofy if it's too short. I should know, I have the same problem! When mine was your length I just washed it twice a week and used a straightener after I dried it. Then I had smooth, tamed hair until my next wash. And don't wash it more than 2-3 times a week or it will just frizz!

layers!!! you could flip the layers, pull some back into a half ponytail, a full ponytail, messy bun.... don't give up!!! try some light gel or serum for the frizz, don't rub your hair with a towel, and invest in a good hair dryer!! but also I've found that other people love my hair even when I don't, so don't think that if it doesn't look perfect to you it doesn't look fab to everyone else!!! good luck!!

Hye, my haisr after two days of not being washed looks oily, but otherwise looks dry, cuz it's cut in layers which make it look a bit like a rope. It feels soft by touch, if that's a help. A great, and very inexpensive, conditioner is Suave. The Professional product line of Suave is great. All of these conditioners are great. I use Suave Humectant. It's cheap and really makes your hair soft and shiny. I read once that the Suave Professional line makes your hair feel the best compared to other products.

Mixing honey in with your conditioner is another tip that I found on www.forum.longhaircommunity.com:

The writer says: "I've just conditioned my hair with a mixture of conditioner and honey (for the first time). I mixed 2 parts conditioner to 1 part honey and then treated it just like normal conditioner. It wasn't sticky when I put it on my hair, and it rinsed out just as easily as plain conditioner does. My hair isn't dry yet, but already seems to be softer and silkier." (Aliban)

i am assuming you mean hot or heated rollers?

Just take a section of your hair as if you were going to curl it with an iron,then place the roller at the bottom of the hair and start rolling it under until you reach the scalp with the roller. Some rollers will stay in by themselves and some you need to clip in place.

You don't need to leave them in very long. As soon as they cool you can remove them. If you're talking about old fashioned rollers,you roll up the same way but they take forever to dry unless you have a dryer like the salons do.

The bigger the roller the larger and more loose the curl or wave. The largest rollers generally just add body.

Depends on the kind of rollers. If they are just plain rollers, then you section your wet hair (top, sides, back). Put them in, rolling your hair away from your face on top, and curling under on the rest of your head. If the rollers heat up, it is the same, but your hair should be dry.

When you take the rollers out (after they are dry, in the case of the plain ones), let your hair sit for a few minutes before you style it.

You will want to practice, but you will soon see how better to place the rollers to get the desired effect. The bigger the roller, the looser the curl. So if you only want waves, use big rollers.

either way, use largeish ones for waves and smaller ones for tighter curls.

Divide your hair into equal sections, roll up the length of the hair. leave heated ones til they're cold, and i don't know what to do with cold ones. probably leave them in for longer, probably use a hairdryer? and use setting lotions/mousse/whatever.

the only kind i have used are jelly rollers and they come in a little blue plastic container. you plug it in and they all heat up, the light changes color when they are done. then you wrap them around your hair in little pieces at a time, winding and then connecting the two ends of the roller. Leave them in for about half an hour (or however long it takes them to be completely cool) and take them out. Now you have lots of ringlets, if you just want waves, brush your hair lightly with a wooden brush (or a plastic one just not the soft bristle kind that will make your hair frizzy).

Dampen your hair before going to sleep. Section your hair into about 8 parts, more if you want really wavy hair. If your hair is dry use a little hair cream for shine. Next loosely braid , when you get to the last inch or so curl the ends around a small roller. In the morning release those 8 braids to find beautiful waves with a little curl on the ends.

Grab a section of your hair and get the appropriate size of roller from all the ones it comes with and hold the piece of hair out straight, then role it up onto the hot roller. Then pin it with the oins they come with. Continue to section your hair off and put the rollers in. Leave them in for abt 10-15 minutes for a really good curl, or as long as needed depnding on your hauir texture and thickness. And then just roll them out one by one. Hope you figure it out!! And don't burn yourself!! lol :p

Divide your hair into 2 sections, as if you are about to make pigtails. Get one section out of the way by clipping it up.

The following instructions are in reference to the section of hair that you *didn't* clip up.

Depending on how big you want your curls/waves, section off a small piece of hair (about an inch squared) from the nape of your neck. Clip the rest of your hair up, and out of the way.

Pull this piece of hair taught, and place the heated roller on the underside of your hair; at the end. Roll it up carefully until you reach the scalp. Ensure it was a neat, tidy and firm roll, with no hairs hanging out the sides (these only cause tangling problems when it comes time to removing the rollers).

To hold the roller in place, (and if you only have bobby pins at your disposal) slide the bobby pin in at the place where the roller touches your head; not on the outside. This will hold the roller in place to your head.

Continue this process all over this side of your head, and then repeat on the other side you clipped up at the very beginning.

The time you leave the rollers in depends on what sort of rollers you are using.

For heated rollers:

Leave the rollers for however long the package recommends.

For velcro rollers:

Depends on the type of hair you have. E.g. Straight thick hair would need the rollers in for a whole afternoon, whereas thinner curly hair would only require them to be in for 2 hours minimum.

Give your a shot of hairspray and when you take the rollers out, do it carefully. Pulling will only cause your curl to frizz and/or fall out.

Me too! What I do is, though it may sound weird, shower in the middle of the night. When I get up at about 3 AM I am wide awake, so I take a shower and go to bed. When I wake up, my hair is mostly dry so I hit it with a blow dryer and then flat-iron it. I have layers and long bangs, and it looks so good flat-ironed. Do the same! Get layers! Get long bangs! They're really in style.

I've said it a million times through my own experience, go to a professional stylist...home perms are the worst. They fry your

hair and it takes month for it to recover. It is worth the extra money.

You will want to get a body perm. It isn't a perfect match but as close as you are going to come to a wave in a perm

a body wave or a weave perm. i call it a hit and miss, they only body wave sections of your hair ,like roll one , miss one, gives it a wave and not a tight curl

NOT a spiral, a "normal" perm (rolled sideways instead of up and down like with a spiral) and you really should get perms in a salon. its not like dyeing your hair! good luck!

What ever you decide don't "DIY" (do it yourself)Ask a professional . I like the way my hair looks as well after braiding. But you must remember if it's black hair you have to go the extra mile to keeping it moisturized and conditioned well. And since I can't just assume that you are Afro Amer. If your hair has been braided for any lenth of time it will shed a lot and will need just as much TLC as black hair.

Well, it really depends on your style. But, I love Hot Topic, Spencer's, and Pac Sun.

And for the hair, you could either french braid your hair before bed or get an iron from BedHead. It waves your hair. It works similarly to a crimper. You can buy this at Target.com.

i get out of the shower and leave my hair alittle damp and put moose in and scunch and then after awhile i put hairspray in it when i'm done and then blow dry alittle bit...help so i get it a wavy scrunch if u know what i mean

hey hunny perfect for what your trying for is a three prong curling iron they sell them about anywhere like walmart...takes no time at all and looks awesome!! they're between $15-20 i like to do it the next day after i wash my hair because i dont have oily hair but i dont like using styling products and the natural oil helps style and looks natural! good luck hunny!!
